Scheduling
We want Fringe to be fun and organized for all volunteers, performers, and coordinators. We seek volunteers based on your interests, skills, and availability. We ask you to schedule in advance and honor your volunteer commitments.
- Shifts are between 2-5 hours. If your shift is scheduled during a typical meal time, please bring something to munch on from home.
- Shift start times are when they start, not when you should be arriving to park. Please consider San Diego traffic and parking needs, when making arrangements.
- Please notify and coordinate with your House Manager if you need to take a break.
Dress Code
Each volunteer will be provided a Fringe Volunteer t-shirt.
Jeans, shorts, pants, skirts: all are okay at the Fringe! Just make sure you’re covered up below the waist ;)
Please wear closed toed shoes for all volunteer positions. We are in a theatre environment and loose screws and nails may have a way of finding the bottom of your feet.
If you have a cell phone, please triple check that it is on silent at all times during your shift. Volunteers with multiple violations will be asked to leave your phone at home next time.
Lastly, volunteers must wear a Fringe ID Badge at all times.
Other
Any donations received by volunteers are considered a donation to the Festival, not volunteer pay. Any donations must be turned over to the house manager, and they'll get them to the right person.
Volunteering should be FUN! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me, Sandi Buehner, by phone or email. If texting, be sure to include your name, as I'm not a psychic.
